Update 2009-10-03: We have moved in the last night succesful to a other server.

Today we present the first Joomla 1.5.x native version from jDownloads. For this purpose, we have the existing 1.4 source code overworked. We have also added a few new functions.

Among others:

• playing from MP3 Files (incl. display ID3-Tags)
• support for Category layouts with more as one column (max. 9 columns)
• new options for hotlinking protection
• new option to set off the downloads detail site
• use the Wysiwyg-Editor in the frontend upload form
• new options to activate/deactivate data fields from frontend upload form
• new direct download option
• jDownloads can now send emails after downloads/uploads to more as one recipient
• and many others little enhancements
  

A few little bugs from jD 1.4 was also fixed.

All existings module are also overworked for jD 1.5 and Joomla 1.5.x in the native mode. A few module are new created, so you have more flexibility to view the data in the frontend.

In a short time, ww will also go online with the new Website: www.jdownloads.com. We will present it only in english language.

Today the Version 1.4.2 RC Build 639 was published.

Fixed bugs:

• with Joomla 1.0.x, the page navigation in the backend (list categories and downloads) worked not

• the 'auto monitoring' function has added always new files with single quotation mark in the filename as new
• the file licence typ was not always correct displayed
  

Update 2009-09-10:
Sad to say, but the last published release has a mistake. Now, the page navigation with Joomla 1.5.x worked not. The bug is now fixed in the new release 1.4.2.1.

In the last time, i has not the time to answer quickly all the question in the support forum. Excuse me, please!

jDownloads 1.5 native

Here i give yours information about the actually development. After we have worked a few weeks on the source code from 1.4 to make it native, we have the work stopped!! So we have resolved, that it is better to make a complete fresh source code and use the MVC Pattern. This is for the moment much, much more work, but for the future development the best solution. We hope, that you understand this choice and give our also in the future your support.

Jan (aka tronga) has worked hard in the last months on the new version. So in the moment the extension is finished to 70 percent. In the last months, i had much private problems and only few time for the project. But now, i am back. So, we hope to publish the 1.5 native release in the June/July.
